TEXASCALE Magazine & Website
Target: This annual magazine, produced for the Texas Advanced Computing Center (TACC), is sent to employees and subscribers interested in research, science, technology, and innovation. The corresponding website serves as an alternative digital version of the magazine.
Role: I collaborated directly with the lead designer, copywriters, and photographers, and was responsible for designing 13 stories, several with multi-page spreads, while also providing design input on other pages. The 46-page publication (excluding cover and back) adhered to certain brand requirements, such as justified text and drop caps, while allowing flexibility to thoughtfully break guidelines when appropriate.
For the website, I designed pages in Figma for two desktop sizes (most readers view on desktop) and a mobile size. I also prototyped specific modules to demonstrate user interaction and how these elements could integrate with the main TACC website. I worked directly with the development team to ensure the designs were feasible and facilitated a smooth handoff.
